An Important part of the farm is the 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup Truck (the Little Blue Truck). It was my only vehicle when I met Hannah... needless to say she loved it and we soon married (the little guy attempting to open the door is our nephew). -Reuben

The Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup was built in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in 1981.
The 4-speed manual transmission controls a tiny 1.6 liter diesel engine that creates 48 horsepower.
I bought it via Craigslist from the 2nd owner - near Iowa City, Iowa on November 8, 2013 (my 27th birthday!).
The original owner greatly cared for the truck. He was a professional painter for Case tractor company, and he re-painted the rabbit in it's original color (Lago Blue) prior to his passing.
It's all original - no significant modifications have been done on the truck.
Its average fuel economy is 45 miles per gallon of diesel.
I can reach the passenger side mirror for adjustment while driving, without much effort.
